01Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan is genuinely free and requires no payment details. You only enter billing information when you upgrade — and even then, you can pay through Shopify if your store is connected.
02Can I switch plans any time?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Changes take effect immediately and we prorate the difference automatically.
03What counts as a 'response'?
One response = one AI-generated answer to a shopper question. Each plan includes a monthly response allowance — if you exceed it we'll prompt you to upgrade rather than cut you off mid-conversation.
04How does billing work for Shopify stores?
If you install chatcast through the Shopify App Store or Shopify OAuth, paid plans are approved in Shopify and appear on your Shopify invoice. Direct non-Shopify integrations are handled separately.
05What happens if I exceed my plan's response limit?
We show a soft warning in your console and prompt you to upgrade — we won't silently disable your widget or leave shoppers without answers. You're always in control of the upgrade.
